Craziness! Motorhome pulls car and pop up trailer with golf cart on bumper.
Try backing up this motorhome - or even driving it down the road. Let's see -- it's got a golf cart on the back bumper, with a Jeep towed behind the motorhome, and then a pop up trailer behind the Jeep. This is crazy!
Is it legal? May not be smart, but if the state does not promote safe towing everyone is going to do it no matter what. When I see unsafe driving down the road, I call 911 just to let them know
I saw this all over the place in Quartzsite, AZ this year! Mike and I were in our car, stuffed to the gills with our tent and gear. It was so weird to pass motorhomes towing travel trailers and toads when the two of us were able to fit everything into our little car... barely.
First of all I'd like to state that the size of that motorhome probably is capable of towing that amount of weight. Is it safe, no, but he may only be towing for a short distance - across town, we don't know what the story is.
Legal or not, the odds are against the driver. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Can you imagine an emergency stop situation? If I was ever to see this on a highway, I'd stay well clear!

ReplyDeleteI also hope you had someone else video taping this. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is legal in most state. However not in all of them ...need to check the laws in each state before you try it in them.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like I-75 in Florida, and that rig is NOT legal in Florida. It IS legal in most midwestern and western states, though!
ReplyDeletesee this type setup all the time in Montana took trip there this last summer. And must of seen atleast 10 RV's with this type setup Scary!!!!

ReplyDeleteI'll go along with Laura. I have camped with my wife in our minivan. I feel so much smarter than whoever decided to tow everything like that.

ReplyDeleteYes, Quartzsite was full of these, best one was motorhome towing Hummer and had an ATV. Oh yeah, think this one had a boat also.
