Amazing video of motorhome going up in flames
In this five minute video, watch a firetruck roll down suburban streets. See the huge plume of black smoke to the right and then watch as the firetruck arrives on the scene, where the RV is totally engulfed in flames. The camera is then positioned inside the vehicle's front window. Watch as the firemen approach with their hoses, and then begin attacking the flames. This video vividly illustrates how easily an RV can burn up.

ReplyDeleteUNREAL!!! Nice to see how fast they were able to knock it down tho. I like the 1st FF you see throwing his arms up "Yup! This ones gone!) ;)
ReplyDeleteI think most of those scratches will buff right out.
ReplyDeleteNot that there was anything to save but it's interesting to watch ONE fireman fight the fire and the others just doing the heavy looking on including the one with the second line which was never charged. Hope this "team" never responds to my fire.
ReplyDeleteWhat you don't see is that the engineer (Pump Operator)is hand jacking a supply line back to the fire hydrant that was on the street corner. The tank in most engines is 500 gallions. At 125 gallions per minute going thru the ground line the tank doesn't last too long. The hands in the air means "turn on the water". Since the engineer was not at the panel, the captain makes his way to the pump panel to turn on the blue hose. Just towards the end you see it working along with the knockdown line. All a normal practice in most fire departments. From a retired Fire Captain RVer.
ReplyDeleteAlways a crackpot in the crowd speaking about how someone else isn't doing their job as they think it should be done. It is definitely a self reflection of how lame that person really is. don't know crap about fire fighting do you? Thank you for the retired chief for the lowdown! He knows full well what took place.. Procedure procedure procedure.. Something that person knows nothing about! You are the dangerous one in a team and would get someone hurt or killed because you know it all! Grow up!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the lesson to be learned from this loss? How did the fire begin, and are there safety measures others (like us) can take to prevent such an end to our MH? Our condolences to the owners. It looks as if the firefighters did a great job in preventing secondary fire damage to surrounding stuff.
ReplyDeleteSuch destruction so fast! Another video that starts soon after a fire starts in an RV can be found at:

The video views the conflagation from the side, and includes the toad.
Did anyone say what caused the fire. Was their anyone in the motorhome when the fire broke out? That was a good video and we have to be grateful for the firemen
ReplyDeleteThe music was awful and very irratating!
ReplyDeleteThats why you have a volume switch on your computer. Oh yea.
ReplyDeleteMr. Fire Cheif:
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a chance of the fuel tank or the propane tank exploding? That didn't seem to be an issue to these firefighters. Oh, and regarding the Linkin Park music- you can always turn the volume down!
