How to keep RV toilet paper from unrolling as the RV moves
RVtravel.com forum administrator and contributing editor Adrienne Kristine explains an old RVer trick to keep toilet paper from unrolling while an RV is moving down the highway.
We have been using your technique for over 2 years now and it is so simple to just squeeze the roll when you put it on. We were having a problem with the rolls unrolling just about every time we traveled so we were so glad when we seen your original post on the way to take care of it without using any type of gadget that might get lost or land in your foot.
We have been traveling for years and just on the last trip did I have this problem with toilet paper. Will try some of the remedies posted here. About paper towels coming undone, buy Viva brand; it sticks to itself and does not unroll as you travel. Try it, it works!
I've known to flatten the roll for awhile. It's another way to conserve paper. No, "free rolling". That's when the roll spins when you tug on it with one hand, and you end up with more then you need to do the job. The best way to stop that when only using one free hand is to have it smashed out of round. You don't have to be "old" or and "RVer" to use this trick. Conserve your paper.
I would also like it better if you didn't read when tapping the video. We're all friends here, aren't we? Good useful subject.
We use an elastic band around the roll, and just take it off when we arrive.
ReplyDeleteWe're fulltimers, and have never had this problem!!
ReplyDeleteYou can also stick a pin in it while you are traveling. (We never had a problem with it either.)

ReplyDeleteWe don't have the problem with T.P. but have had with paper towels in the past. We just clipped a clothes pin to the edge of the roll.
ReplyDeleteThe only trouble we've had with TP was caused by a playful black Lab!!
ReplyDeletemAKE SURE TO PUT t p on so you can see the end 0f piece t p come off of roll. LOL
